Well done children, a great half term. You have worked super hard and should be very proud of yourselves.
We had an amazing end to the half term with a visit from some owls. Can you remember the different species of owls we met? There were lots of technical terms used during our visit, here are a few of them can you remember what these words mean?
Have I forgotten any?
Have a good rest everybody and remember to read some books!
Happy Easter 2GS!
Have a lovely holiday, you deserve a good rest after working so very hard this term. Remember you have a little bit of homework, a reading comprehension and a maths activity. There is also the Easter Reading Challenge to complete and have lots of
DEAR ( Drop Everything And Read) time.
Looking forward to hearing all about your adventures in two weeks time!
Have a great half term 2GS. Stay safe, have a good rest and have lots of fun. Our next learning challenge will be exciting! You asked some super questions about fossils when we were at the museum which we will explore and try to answer.
Look out books about dinosaurs!
We have been reading and writing instructions in class. Can you give instructions for someone to follow at home Year 2? How many imperative verbs can you use? Remember to use time words too!
We will be investigating this question this half term. 2GS were really interested in Neil Armstrong on Friday this week and asked some brilliant questions.
These web sites might help you answer the questions

Our next focus in English will be on Information Text books. Have you any at home or could you borrow one from the library about something you are interested in?
Have a hunt through the books and see if you can find:
We have been reading Traction Man in school and investigating stories with familiar settings. Everyone has had a go at writing a new beach adventure for Traction Man.
See if you can retell your story at home children!
