I had a surprise on Sunday when I was coming back from Iceland.
I bumped into an ex pupil, my he has grown.
He was happily walking along with his dad chattering away. Then he turned his head in my direction and the look of amazement on his face was spectacular. I smiled and he went oh hello miss. We talked and off he went. Tristan looks super and I know lots of our children still miss him lots.
Welcome back for the Summer Term!
I hope that you have all had a lovely Easter...and not too much chocolate! I can hardly believe that the fortnight has flown by and that we are about to begin the final term of the year. Do not forget to bring in your reading folders and your P.E. kits. Let's hope this term brings some exciting challenges
We have welcomed another girl to our class and her name is Megan Lea. We hope that she like us all and will enjoy being with us for the rest of the school year in year 4.
Our class have two new children:
A great big welcome to you both.
We hope you will love our class and enjoy the rest of year four.
Wow!! we have a new child in our classroom this week and we were very excited to meet him and make friends. We would all like to say a great big hello to Xi Nan Chu. This young man has already made many friends and has also settled in superbly.
Guess which class forgot to give out their selection boxes.
Right first time, but guess what you will have them on the first day back, how cool is that?
More chocolate to eat mmmmm. Bet you can't wait.
We are looking at poetry in Year 4 and the children have been busy reading, analysing and performing poems. Later this week, they will become poets themselves when they try to write their own Haikus. Do you know what a Haiku is?
I can hardly believe that we are nearly into the final week of this half term! The children have been working hard and they have all settled in well. Our two new girls, Nicole and Olivia, have made a great start to the new school year and it feels like they have always been with us.
We are looking at and listening to some wonderful poetry at the moment and, earlier this week, we performed some pieces that were chosen because of the imagery - they really created some vivid images in our minds.
All of the children in 4GM are really pleased to welcome a new child to our class we hope that Olivia Cranney will enjoy being with us.
Welcome to a new child to our class, we hope you will like us all and settle in quickly.
The children are pleased to meet Nicole Oboko and Nicole has already made lots of friends.
We had a visitor to our I.E.P. and intervention writing groups this half term and he sat pride of place. The children talked about our visitor within their groups then they sat and wrote their own super sentences about him. When it was time for our visitor to leave he was given big hugs by everyone. The children also had a go at drawing our visitor. We took pictures of us all together and then collated all the work and it is now on display outside our classroom. Pop along on parent's evening to view their work and find out who our visitor was.
