Remember your cardboard boxes, kitchen roll tubes etc for making castles on Monday!
2ST made a great start to 2018. We started our new topic - Towers, Tunnels and Turrets with a banquet! In science we have started to explore the best conditions for seeds to grow in. Our English lessons are based on the book Jim's beanstalk which you can watch in the video below.
Remember reading together at home really helps your child with all their learning. Bug Club is available to use at home and the children love using it in class. If you have forgotten your log in just let us know in school.

The First Day in Year 2!
We had a lovely day today in Year 2 getting to know each other and finding out about life upstairs in Year 2.
We made mind maps to show each other the things that are important to us and Maths Monsters as a way to show facts about ourselves.
We thought about what makes us unique and how important kindness is and read the book We Are All Wonders to help us understand these ideas.
Can you tell you family about Auggie in the story 2ST?
