Class 3LS

Homework.

Over the next few weeks, the children are going to be becoming mini geologists. They will have the opportunity to study properties of rocks, so we will be encouraging them to look for rocks in their local environment to study and record.

Tremors!

This term children will discover the dangerous and ferocious world of natural disasters and take a look at their deadly effects. They will find out about the ancient city of Pompeii while experiencing erupting volcanoes and discovering properties of rock shaped by the Earth's breathtaking power!

What an exciting day we've had!

To begin our topic about predators, we've had four of them in our school today! Two bearded dragons, a corn snake, a burmese python and a barn owl.

The children were very well behaved, as always, and asked lots of interesting questions about these amazing creatures!

Well done 3LS!

We've had a great start to the new term!

The children have had their first swimming lesson in year 3 and thoroughly enjoyed it.

They have also taken part in a virtual journey with Google Expeditions, exploring our topic of Gods and Mortals, as well as discovering what the coral reef is like and how a volcano works!

Scrumdiddlyumptious!

We have had a great start to the new school year and the children have settled in well to their new classes. This half term our imaginative learning project is called ’Scrumdiddlyumptious’. This will be a Design and Technology focused topic and there will be lots of exciting learning opportunities for the children!

Already the children have been on a hunt for chocolate bars around our playground and guess what they found as they opened them... golden tickets!

These special tickets will take them on an exciting trip later in the term. They have been warned that they will need a sweet tooth!!

Welcome back!

We hope you have had a lovely break and are now refreshed and ready for the exciting things Year 3 has to offer!

If you have any queries or concerns please don't hesitate to speak to a member of the Year 3 team.
