Week Beginning 3rd July 2017 - Health and Sports Week
This week we had lots of fun celebrating Health and Sports! We have taken part in an 'enterprise morning' making and selling fruit pots with our friends in Year 2. We have learnt about the importance of healthy eating, exercising and washing our hands! On Friday we had Sports Day. Here are some pictures from our fun week in school.
Welcome back! We hope you had a lovely Easter break and are looking forward to the summer! This half term, our Cornerstones topic is 'Why do ladybirds have spots?'. We will be learning all about different minibeasts. We have already started investigating in our Minibeast Laboratory and the children have written some fantastic descriptions of their favourite minibeasts! Can you spot any minibeasts when you are out and about?
We will also be learning about 3D shapes and their properties. The children have been on a shape hunt to see what 3D shapes they could find around school. What 3D shapes can you find at home?
Welcome back, we hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Year!
Our focus question this half term is ‘Will you read me a story?’.
We will be looking at different fairy tales such as Little Red Riding Hood, The Gingerbread Man, Goldilocks and The Three Bears and other well known stories.
We will also learn all about Chinese New Year and the different ways in which Chinese people celebrate.
Our Collective Worship theme for this half term is

We hope you have had a lovely break!
If your child is in RCR, their class teacher is Mrs Richardson and their teaching assistants are Mrs Williams and Mr Newall.
This half term we will be focussing on the question 'Do you want to be friends?'
We will be carrying out lots of exciting activities learning all about ourselves, our friends and people who help us around school.
Please ensure all of your child's uniform is clearly named ready for the start of term.
PE will take place on a Friday, however PE kits are to stay in school at all times and will be sent home half termly for a freshen up!
