Welcome to our School Council page...
This week we have had assemblies from Bully Busters and they have explained what bullying is all about and how we can stop bullying.
Our school council members in Year 4/5/6 participated in a 2hour training session to become a mentor for children in school. They are ready to work hard and support the children on the yard.
The school council had a visitor today. Sara, from The Whitechapel centre for the homeless came in to discuss with the children all about homelessness, the reasons behind it and what they do to help homeless people. Sara also spoke to the children about how they are a charity and rely on fundraising. Now the children are very eager to come up with lots of fundraising ideas.
Our new lunchtime playground plan has been put into place this week and it has been very successful. Children are enjoying our creative area, playing jenga and making new friends! Well done to all our school council members who are making sure everyone is happy on the yard and feeding back any information.
And the winner is..
OLIVIA -Year 6
Olivia has been elected as one of Liverpool's junior Lord Mayors and will be carrying out lots of jobs and tasks!!
Our school council will be around to give her lots of support
Children were nominated in their own classes to stand for school council. The children then voted for one boy and one girl from each class from Year 1 through to Year 6.
We meet each week to discuss our expectations and support the members who want to stand for Junior Lord Mayor.
The first task that the council members want to focus on is the yard at lunchtime. We have listed all their ideas and made a plan of activities for the playground.
